GOVIND DEVJI -: Tthe talk of the Temple in Jaipur is, first of all, start with Shree Govind dev Ji, an Admiral of the inhabitants of Jaipur or the king of the Jaipur. In the middle of the old city near Hawamahal, built in 1590 by Maharaja Maan Singh the idol of lord krishna and Radha in the temple. Architects had come from Europe to build this temple, The temple also has a glimpse of Rajasthani painting as well as European and Greek craftmanship this temple name in the Guinness book of world records for having the widest single span Rcc flat roof, the costumes of the idols was highly decorative be jeweled, worth of Rs 25 to 30 lakh each.
KALE HANUMAN JI -: Only a short distance from Govind dev Ji, another ancient temple of the city at chandi ka taksaal another unsurpassed sample of Rajasthani architecture. But the thing that makes this temple seaprate from the other Hanuman temple is it's idol of Hanuman ji in this temple the colour of idol which is not orange like the other statues of Hanuman Ji but its black, yes it's true might be it's the only idol of Hanuman Ji which is black in colour and the story behind this is also very interesting Surya dev was the guru (teacher) of Hanuman Ji and Surya dev sought in guru Dakshina (fee) that he should bring his son Shani dev to him and when Hanuman Ji went to take Shani dev then, in anger, Shani dev put his vision on Hanuman Ji so that their colour became black, Hanuman Ji bring Shani dev to Surya dev, Impressed by the devotion of Lord Hanuman, Shani dev promised him that the person who worshipped him on Saturday will not see his eyes or face his wrath.
GADH GANESH -: This temple of Ganesh Ji located on the Nahargarh hill is wonderful like the other temples of Jaipur, this temple is about 350 yrs old and also very different from the other Ganesh temples across the country, so far you see any Ganesh temple there will definitely be a trunk on the face of Ganesh but in this temple there is no trunk on the face of Ganesha, here is the statue of childhood Ganesh established. The foundation of Jaipur was laid by the blessings of Ganesh Ji. By performing Ashwamedh Yagna on the hill of Nahargarh Maharaja Sawai Jai singh laid the foundation of this temple. It is said that sitting in the Inder palace which is inside the city palace, the statue of Ganesh ji is seen from the telescope Maharaja used to visit Ganesh ji only from the telescope, every day a stair was constructed to reach this temple, 365 stairs were constructed in 1 year.
SHILA DEVI TEMPLE -: this temple is located inside the Amber fort Shila Devi is believed to be the guardian of the Amber fort it's said that Raja Maan Singh is a devotee of Kali Ji and he bought this idol from Bengal. The surprise thing in this temple is that the face of Shila devi is a little slant, the story behind it was that the mother became angry and she turned her face Raja Maan Singh had said about sacrificing male sacrifice in this temple but even after the establishment of Amber, no sacrifice was given and decided to sacrifice a goat in his place, so that the Godess would not be angry and from that time godess changed her face, and from then on to please the mother every year sacrificed is done after being sacrificed here till 1972, after the protest of Jain sadhus (monks) it was closed.
